DoPlan.ai is a desktop-first planning app. This page covers two separate things: the data this waitlist page collects, and how the app itself handles your data once you're using it.

This waitlist page

When you submit your email to join the waitlist, it's sent to Formspree, our form-processing provider, and stored so we can email you when DoPlan launches. We don't sell or share this list with anyone. You'll receive at most a small number of launch-related emails and can ask to be removed at any time.

The DoPlan app

Where your data lives depends on which mode you choose in Settings:

Desktop (Free & Pro): Tasks, goals, time entries, session notes, and archives are stored locally on your machine (SQLite + JSON in Electron's userData directory), plus a daily CSV export. Nothing is sent to our servers.
AI features via OpenAI: Only the specific request context (e.g. your current task and goal) is sent to OpenAI using your own API key. We don't see or store this traffic.
AI features via Ollama (air-gapped mode): The model runs entirely on your machine. Nothing leaves your device.
Cloud (coming soon): Data will be stored on our servers to support multi-device sync. This policy will be updated with server-side handling details before that tier launches.

Third parties

We use Formspree to process waitlist submissions and Netlify to host this page. Once the app is live, OpenAI or Ollama process AI requests as described above, per the mode you select.

Your choices

You can ask to have your waitlist email removed at any time, and once the app ships, you can export or delete your local data directly — it's a file on your own machine.
